For schools, weekly music tuition is available as well as a variety of different workshops, projects, and insets for your pupils and staff. We welcome your input to tailor the provision bespoke to the needs of your school. For communities, we run projects to promote team building, or you could get involved with our confidence boosting choirs!
Please contact us to talk further about your requirements.
• Introduce participants of any age or ability to singing, both acapella and with accompaniment. We can take small groups, classes or year groups up to 100 at a time. • Whole school singing assemblies. We like to think our singing assemblies have become legendary! Guaranteed to get every pupil and staff member engaged in singing and movement from the minute they walk into the hall, our singing assemblies are high energy and a fantastic way to rehearse for concerts and performances, whilst learning about singing technique, rhythm and sign language along the way! They are an excellent way to inject some excitement for music into your school as well as achieving a curriculum requirement. • Singing/Drama workshops. Working towards the performance of a ‘scene’ from either a musical or an opera. This can be extended to a series of workshops culminating in the performance of an entire show to which an audience can be invited. • Choir workshops – either for choirs already established or use our help to get one started. Developing existing repertoire or learning new material. Advising staff on repertoire and model session planning and delivery if needed. • Vocal Masterclasses in the choral, folk, classical, pop, R&B, or jazz genre. • Gifted and Talented workshops. Designed for an established choir or a small group of standout singers. • Specific Outcome – if you have a performance outcome in mind such as a whole school concert, for example, we can assist in putting this together with you.
• Introduce participants of any age or ability to instrumental teaching, using workshops for whole class or smaller groups. • Percussion Workshops. • Drumming workshops. Whether it’s whole class African drumming, group lessons, individual lessons or whole class workshops, our drumming specialists exceptional in his field and will provide a class your pupils will remember! • Junk Orchestra workshops – using materials that you have collected, we can provide workshops that help to make the instruments, learn to play them and develop a performance using them. • Glockenspiel workshops. If your school currently has glockenspiels or xylophones unused we can help bring them back to life with a series of exciting workshops that introduce the idea of notation, tempo, pitch, dynamics, composition, improvisation and ensemble playing all using the instruments as the focus. These instruments are a great way to introduce music before the pupil then moves onto the piano or keyboard.
• A whole week of music! You will be provided with two Love2singUK tutors who will travel and work at your school every day for a week. We call these our ‘Music Project Weeks’. In these weeks we work with every class in the school. Working alongside your staff and with the pupils, these singing and instrumental workshops are always tailored to the needs of the school and are always made exciting and engaging for all pupils. We hold 4 whole school singing assemblies during the week and we leave a pack of resources that will inspire any existing school choir and provide enough resources for assemblies and classroom music lessons for a whole term. Throughout the week, we will work alongside your staff, and the provision of this support and resources ensures that the work we do is able to continue long after the week has ended. • During a Music Project Week, we can also provide after school staff meetings, twilight or INSET sessions for your staff to receive some CPD should they require it, which will give them the confidence and practical resources to deliver music and singing sessions in their own classroom setting. • We provide a high-quality performance outcome at the end of each of our music weeks to showcase the pupil's hard work. This is often used in schools as evidence for OFSTED. • We can deliver both singing, untuned percussion and tuned percussion workshops for schools, specialist singing weeks, drama project weeks, drumming weeks or songwriting and composition weeks – with our wealth of experience and the tutors we have we can cater for all requirements!
Through creating their own vocal compositions, students: Explore a range of approaches to songwriting Develop lyrical content and melodic ideas Develop vocal technique and ensemble skills Appraise their compositions with editing processes and decision making Perform their song as an ensemble and have the opportunity to take solo roles.
Using percussion instruments: (a mixture of small hand-held percussion, drums and tuned percussion such as xylophones/ metallophones works well). Simple grooves/soundscapes/simple backings to accompany songwriting.
Projects that explore multiple art forms, e.g. poetry and music or visual art and music. Using images as a stimulus works well. Upper KS2 classes can create music for films, or to accompany written sound stories for images.
An introduction for staff and pupils on how to bring singing into daily classroom life, its benefits and how to use the brilliant web-based resource Sing Up! in your classrooms effectively.
An introduction to the contemporary digital resource for teachers and schools. This exciting, interactive programme provides online learning in line with the new curriculum guidelines that can be delivered by both specialist and non-specialist music teachers.
We run various music projects using ICT software GarageBand. Pupils learn to use the programme and go on to compose their own songs, jingles, and film scores. These workshops are particularly effective when used to engage or target specific small groups of pupils.
We offer a huge variety of different CPD and Inset sessions for your staff. Whether it is general music skills for your teachers or more specifically how to introduce different musical techniques, ways to teach the music curriculum, how to lead a singing assembly, targeting boys and singing, mark making in music, or simply that you require confidence to build daily singing into the classroom, we can put together a training session and resource pack to keep that will help you long into the future!
All our Inset sessions are put together as bespoke packages for your school according to your requirements.
